The torque limiter and paper feed clutch must be checked after the life of 100K has passed. Paper jams occur shortly after 100K printing as the number of single print copies increases. If there is a lot of continuous output, even 300K may not cause any problems.
1. Torque limiter (anti-reverse)
If one of three torque limiter has got the problems occurs, the end of the paper folds and continues. It occurs repeatedly, and in this case, it is recommended to replace all three Torque limiter parts.
2. Paper feed clutch
If there is a problem with the paper feed clutch, paper from the tray is intermittently jammed while coming up from the paper tray. This occurs intermittently because the function of the paper feed clutch is functional decline and not caused by breakdown.
3. Resist Clutch
If there is a problem with the register clutch, the paper jamming position is irregular, and sometimes the paper jams in the fixing unit position. In this case, replacing the paper feed clutch can temporarily solve the paper jam, but after a certain period of time (after about 10K to 20K), the jamming phenomenon occurs again.
Many people are confused or regard this happen caused by feed roller problem but it is not.
Even if the temperature of the fuser unit is low, paper jams may occur at the fuser unit side. To distinguish from this phenomenon, if the problem disappears when printing by changing the paper tray, it can be regarded as a resist clutch problem.
